The B2B Value of Trade Shows

It seems like every discussion about improving B2B marketing campaigns revolves around the Internet; and for good reason as the Internet has become the primary hub where consumers access information. But the current explosion of…

In this day and age, learning avionics could never be easier most especially with the publication and releases of easy to follow G1000w WAAS GPS manuals. Pilots and pilots-to-be would surely become more interested and motivated in learning how to fly an aircraft and how to work with its flying instruments, particularly nowadays where technology keeps on advancing which makes avionics more exciting and fascinating. WAAS or Wide Area Augmentation (WAAS) was developed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) under the Federal Radio Navigation Program. Primarily the purpose of this system is to enhance the accuracy, availability, and integrity of the navigation system. Although the Global Positioning System or GPS can provide information about the location and its time and weather condition, but the data it gives was unable to meet the requirements that the FAA expected. Thus, in collaboration with DOT, they have created a system that is capable of correcting GPS signal messages. WAAS uses ground-based reference stations which are connected to each other in collecting data. Once WAAS receives the data, it corrects the accuracy of the data then sends it back to earth which can be received and read by any WAAS-enabled GPS receivers. Before the advent of WAAS, aircraft navigation is quite difficult to implement as airspace systems could not provide the accurate information on precision approach. Pilots sometimes encounter problems in determining the precision approach because of the inaccessibility of the lateral and vertical information when touching down. But with the advancement of technology, these problems have been addressed by WAAS. Utilizing WAAS is actually more practical since there is no need for it to be installed in every airport or every station thus letting aircraft to fly from one airport to another airport without relying on ground-based information. With the innovation of these systems, understanding and learning it might be quite difficult due to its complexity and technicality. Consequently, aviators, students of avionics, and people who want to study avionics prefer to obtain materials with instructions are easy to comprehend. Nowadays, there are so many books and manuals about WAAS operations that are being published, but the reader must make sure that the materials that they have acquired are thorough and all-inclusive. They should choose those manuals and other materials that are task-oriented which provides a step-by-step instruction on how to manage flying instruments such as G100w and WAAS capable devices. Thus, it is important that the reader should check the table of contents or the listing of topics of the material that they are considering to get so to avoid wasting time and money.
